Meet the Smiles @ Southcenter Team
With more than 29 years of experience in the dental profession, our amazing Office Manager Margaret is an essential part of our Smiles @ Southcenter team. She received her Dental Assisting Degree from Bates Technical College in 1984 and joined our practice in 1985. Margaret’s passion is to help others and dentistry has allowed her an avenue in which to do this. The best part of her job is having a very fearful patient come into our practice and being an integral part in helping that patient transform and become comfortable with receiving dental care. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son Isaac, going on long hikes, biking and exploring new places. Margaret is a wealth of knowledge, highly dedicated and has touched the lives of many of our patients.
Patient Care Coordinator
Jamie has been in the dental field for over 18 years. As one of our treatment coordinators she is always eager to help our patients with their insurance benefits and trying to achieve optimal coverage. Her goals over the next 5 years is to remodel her home and visiting New Orleans. She enjoys gardening, watching all her flowers bloom, and watching her 3 cats Petals, Luna, and Wee One frolicking in her yard. She also likes finding treasures during her antique hunts with her children, Nicky and Morgan. We are confident you will enjoy Jamie’s enthusiasm, knowledge, and friendly nature in all your interactions with her.
Patient Care Coordinator
Fun-loving with a contagious laugh, Blanca, our Patient Care Coordinator joined our Smiles @ Southcenter Team in 2009. With over 21 years of experience in the dental environment, Blanca brings a strong understanding, compassion, and lightheartedness to your patient experience. She has had an amazing time meeting fantastic people and growing those relationships with our patients and her fellow teammates. When she is not working, she cherishes her time with her family and especially values the moments with her nieces and nephews. Blanca will always greet you with a friendly smile and caring welcome as soon as you step through our doors.
Jenny received her Dental Assisting Degree from Highline Community College in 1994 and her Hygiene Degree from Pierce Technical College in 1999. With over 23 years in the dental field, she has spent 18 of them with the Smiles @ Southcenter team. Jenny’s calm nature, gentle approach, and caring attitude shines through with each patient she cares for. The best part of her job is the amazing relationships she forms with our patients and being an integral part in improving a patient’s oral health. Jenny is a wonderful photographer, enjoys watching movies, reading books, and spending time with her husband and 2 beautiful daughters. We are confident that you will embrace Jenny’s knowledge, sincerity, and honest nature.
Receiving her Dental Assisting Degree from Highline Community College in 1994, Shelly went on to Pierce Technical College and achieved her Dental Hygiene Degree in 2000. Joining the Smiles @ Southcenter family in 2000, she has been thriving as a hygienist and providing meticulous care for our patients for 22 years. Shelly is passionate about her job and loves the wonderful relationships she forms with her patients and the level of trust they place in her. Shelly has a busy family life which she shares with her husband and 2 adorable girls, Sienna and Brooklyn. Her patients and our team appreciate her gentle manner, great clinical skills, and high level of integrity.
Jennifer (Jen) received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University in 2010. Jen has been a hygienist for 9 years and has spent 7 of those years as part of the Smiles @ Southcenter team. Jen’s fun personality, easy demeanor, and excellent clinical skills won us over and she became a permanent member of our team in 2013. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is meeting new patients every day and having those relationships evolve into great friendships. Outside of work Jen enjoys traveling abroad and spending precious time with her identical twin nieces. We know that once you meet Jen you will love her and understand why she is a great compliment to our team.
Sarah is a new addition to our growing dental assisting team. Her favorite part of working in our practice is being able to help create a safe and comfortable environment for patients. She’s always striving to learn and improve her knowledge and clinical skills. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends exploring new places and trying new things. She’s a foodie at heart and loves eating at new restaurants. We are positive you will find her sweet personality and helping attitude a great compliment at your next visit.
Teresa graduated in 1995 with a Dental Assisting Degree from Eton Technical Institute and shortly after joined our team. With more than 22 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge, consistency, and compassion to your dental experience. Teresa enjoys being a part of a patient’s smile makeover because the transformation is rewarding and patients are so excited about their new smile. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, and 2 grandchildren. She’s passionate about reading and loves being a grandma. We know you will enjoy Teresa’s fun personality and amazing clinical skills.
Dental Assisting for more than 20 years, Belinda’s experience and enthusiasm is very evident as she enjoys connecting with her patient’s and ensuring they are comfortable and well taken care of during their visits. She received her Dental Assisting Degree from Lake Washington Technical College in 1992 and has been an integral part of the Smiles @ Southcenter Team since 2010. She loves spending time with her family & friends, exercising, and cooking. Belinda is always a positive and motivated team member who constantly strives to serve our patients and give them the very best care!
Mark is a new member of our team but brings a wealth of knowledge in regards to assisting oral surgery and implant procedures. We are also proud to share that he earned his certification to monitor IV sedation cases, which entailed countless hours of preparation to pass the exam. His goal is to advance his career and return to school to achieve a degree as a Dental Hygienist. You will find Mark’s easy-going and compassionate nature a great compliment to your dental visit. He strives to make every patient’s experience an exceptional one. Outside of work, Mark is an avid hunter, fisherman, and volleyball player. He also cherishes time with his wife and new baby girl Myra and finds fatherhood to be amazing. We enjoy having Mark as part of our team and are confident you will appreciate his great clinical skills.
